This Honey-Hoisin Pork Chops dish is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re entertaining or simply enjoying a tasty meal. I did however get to participate in the FBI Gloves challenge this month. This is a much easier challenge to fit in since you can make anything from the chosen blog. That should have been the case, but the chosen blog this month literally had hundreds of fabulous sounding recipes. This month investigated Culinary in the Desert.
We had center cut pork chops on hand so I decided to make the Honey-Hoisin Pork Tenderloin Chops. Kyle loved this dinner. This honey-hoisin glaze would be delicious as a marinade for anything, especially beef or chicken.
Honey-Hoisin Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 3 T hoisin sauce
- 3 T low sodium soy sauce
- 3 T honey
- 1 T hot water
- 1 T sesame oil
- 1 t rice wine vinegar
- 1 t red pepper flakes
- 2 T seasoned soy bean paste
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 green onion green and white part, sliced
- 2 center cut pork chops
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Combine first 10 ingredients in bowl. Pour 1/3 of the mixture in a large ziplock bag and reserve the rest. Add pork to bag, seal and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge, turning occasionally.
- Remove pork from bag, discard marinade. Sprinkle pork with salt.
- 3 Heat a large grill pan over medium-high heat and coat pan with cooking spray. Add pork and cook for 2 minutes before rotating 45 degrees to get some grill marks. Cook 2 more minutes before flipping over and repeating.
- Set pork aside. In small sauce pan add remaining honey-hoisin mixture over medium high heat. Once mixture begins to boil turn off heat and add 2 T butter, to make a smooth sauce. Serve over pork immediately.
