Easy to cook Rice Crispy Easter Eggs – Easy recipe

When you’re ready to make the perfect homemade Easter treat, look no further than the traditional Rice Crispy Easter Eggs treat. These fun treats come in an array of shapes and colors and are easy to prepare with kids. When it comes to kids, these treats are guaranteed to be a hit! You can even get your child involved in the fun by having them decorate the eggs! Once they’ve cracked the egg, they’ll be begging for more.

Sometimes I wish I had kids, just so I could make fun, kid friendly treats with them. Then I remember the whole dirty diaper thing, and I change my mind and make the treats by myself.

But if you do have kids, I can not think of an easier Easter treat to make. You microwave for one minute… you form the eggs… and your snack is ready! I thought about coloring some real eggs, but realized that a decorated hard boiled egg is somewhat pointless, and somewhat messy. Pretty, but messy. So instead I made these Rice Crispies Easter Eggs. I think I made the right choice.

The sweeter choice.
I shouldn’t even have to say it, but of course I didn’t come up the idea of rice crispies treats. Whoever did is a genius. But I have been enjoying them, and making them, my whole life. The crispy cereal, the gooey marshmallow, and in this case, the chocolate covered sunflower seeds. You could replace the sunflower seeds with mini M&Ms, or use nothing at all. I just thought the little splash of color made them more fun and Easter like!
